Apex Roofing and Guttering Ltd is not registered on Checkatrade.. Furthermore as per companies house the company was incorporated in August 2025. Please be very vigilant when they knock on your door! Or request any kind of work to be done.

Had a very bad experience.

Patrick cold called and knocked on my door and asked if I wanted the gutters of my house cleaned. He said it would cost £65 to clean the gutters – front and back of the house. I was very hesitant. Then Patrick said he will charge £50.

I agreed to have the gutters cleaned. However after a few minutes he knocks on my door again and says there are a few tiles fallen on the roof and the wood is rotting. He can it all repaired while they are there sbd will charge an extra £900.

I told Patrick I do not want it done. He kind of started saying the birds will fly in the roof etc. he will give me a good price and dropped the cost to £500 for roof repair and plus £50 for the gutters.

I said before I agree I need to see the photos of the rotted wood and fallen tiles.Photos were not shown this area.

Patrick then shows me a video of the flat roof on the other side of the house and says it is also deteriorating and needs repairs. That area would cost an additional amount. I did not agree to repair the flat roof.

However, while I was taking to Patrick the other man started placing tiles back and pretended to repair the rotten wood.

They both charged me £550 for less than an hour’s job.

My husband was very reluctant about them going up on our roof and doing the job. When he asked Patrick to justify the cost of repair he said the cost – as follows. £200 x2 each for two men labour cost. Plus £100 for replacing the rotten wood and placing the existing tiles back in position.

I paid them £550 and got a receipt after the payment was made in full.

Please note to date – I still have not received photos requested several times for the work done.
